I follow the Australian thesis editing guidelines developed by the Institute of Professional Editors. I have taught formal academic writing and public speaking units at the University of New England, and worked as a newspaper sub-editor and editor before becoming a freelance academic editor.
I have written two research theses, one for a Master of Economics involving interpretive case studies, the other a cross-disciplinary (Arts/Health) creative practice PhD based on in-depth qualitative interviews. Each thesis resulted in a book publication – A Hospital Bed at Home: Family stories of caregiving from diagnosis to death and Brochureware and Beyond: Case studies of consultant-developed small business web sites. I have also authored many scholarly journal articles and conference papers and worked on long-running ALTC and ARC research projects.
In total, I have more than ten years experience as an academic researcher, writer, teacher and editor, and am listed as a reputable provider by the Thesis Whisperer. Testimonials from previous clients can be found here.
